THE C.L. RABB CORRUGATED STORY

1986:
C.L. Rabb Corrugated Founded
Founders Chris Rabb and Suzanne incorporated Carolina Associated Packaging in 1986. Operating out of their spare bedroom using a TRS-80 computer, the two began brokering corrugated packaging for customers that needed help managing their inventory levels.
1987
First Commercial Location
We quickly outgrew our family’s spare bedroom and rented key man space in a tiny 2 room office. As our customer base grew, so did the number of employees… and we moved again!
1988
Growing Rapidly!
As customer’s needs grew, so did we. A larger office and warehouse space was rented in an old mill and we purchased basic sheet plant equipment to increase our value added offerings day by day.
1990
Land Purchased
In 1990, we were ready to take the leap and become land owners. Once the land was ours, we built a 25,000 square foot office and warehouse space to continue serving our customers. This was only the beginning for our Wolfpack Road Facility in North Carolina.
1994
Building Addition
Four years later, the first 15,000 square foot addition was built to make room for more manufacturing equipment.
1998
Specialty Gluing
After another 4 years, we were growing again! A second 15,000 square foot addition was built onto our Wolfpack Road facility to make room for specialty gluing equipment – expanding our customer offerings.
2015:
New Warehouse Space
In 2015, we purchased a 105,000 square foot space on Blue Devil Drive to expand our warehouse and assembly capabilities.
2016:
Passing the Torch
After 30 years in the company, our founder, Chris Rabb, retired as operating partner in 2016 (but never really goes away). Son, Bryan Rabb, then picked up the torch as second-generation Owner and CEO of the company.
2017
New Equipment
Bryan saw an opportunity in specialty glued boxes and invested in a 135” Bobst Expert Fold gluer at their Blue Devil location to meet the growing demand.
2019
New Equipment x2
To become a more efficient boxmaker, C.L. Rabb purchased an A.G. stacker and Alliance bundle breaker to stream line labor on the Bobst Expert Fold, as well as improve labor savings for customers.
2020
New Equipment x3!
In 2020, the company installed a 66×110 BW Paper 4 Color Rotary Die Cutter with Inside Print Capabilities and JB Dryers for premium packaging projects and large quantity orders.
2022
Brand Refresh & New Equipment x4!
In 2022, C.L. Rabb Corrugated rebrands with a new logo, website and Rabb Corrugated company name, along with installing the first ever A.G. bundle breaker and load former, a new A.G. stacker and Solarco boxmaker for faster production, increased capacity and short run box options.
