Founders Chris Rabb and Suzanne incorporated Carolina Associated Packaging. Located in a Spare bedroom using a TRS-80 computer, they began brokering corrugated packaging for customers that needed help managing their inventory levels.
After getting kicked out of the family’s spare bedroom, they rented key man space in a tiny 2 room office as their customer base grew, so did the number of employees.
As customer’s needs grew, so did we. Office and warehouse space was rented in an old mill space. Basic sheet plant equipment was added, and our value added offerings increased.
Land was purchased and a 25,000 sqft office and warehouse space was constructed. (Wolfpack Road Facility)
The first 15,000 sqft addition was built to make room for more manufacturing equipment.
The second 15,000 sqft addition was constructed to make room for specialty gluing equipment.
105,000 sqft space was purchased for warehouse and assembly – (Blue Devil Drive Facility)
Chris Rabb retires as operating partner of CL Rabb (but never really goes away)
135” Bobst Expert Fold gluer added to Blue Devil location to meet the growing demand for specialty glued boxes.
AG Stacker and Alliance Bundle breaker added to stream line labor on the Bobst Expert Fold, as well as improve labor savings to customers.
